The Denver office will be closed starting Dec. 19 for the move. Updates on the reopening date will be posted on our website.<\/p>\n<p>CLS is Colorado\u2019s statewide nonprofit legal aid program providing civil legal assistance\u2014which does not include criminal or traffic matters\u2014to low-income individuals and older Coloradans throughout the state. Its 12 offices provide free legal assistance in a broad variety of legal areas, including eviction defense, consumer protection, services to survivors of serious crime, representation for domestic violence survivors, and many others. The Denver office serves people from Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin and Jefferson counties, and statewide units headquartered in Denver serve people from around the state.<\/p>\n<p>CLS\u2019s Denver office has been at its current location on Sherman Street since 1988. CLS served thousands of clients in this space, but the new location will be more easily accessible, including via bus as it is next to Civic Center Station.<\/p>\n<p>Folks who live outside the Denver metro area can continue to call or visit their local office, except for Dec. 24 and 25, and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, when all offices will be closed for the holidays.
