Housing Attorney – Colorado Springs, Pueblo, or La Junta

Colorado Legal Services is seeking an attorney to advise and represent tenants at risk of eviction in southern Colorado. This position is currently funded for one year. This person could work out of the Colorado Springs, Pueblo, or La Junta office; occasional travel within the region is expected. Ideal candidates will have a proven commitment to public interest and experience working with low-income or otherwise vulnerable populations. Colorado Legal Services’ Coordinated Statewide Intake Unit (CSI) is seeking an attorney to provide advice and brief services (rather than full representation) to clients at risk of eviction. Colorado law license and 2+ years of experience with landlord-tenant issues required, Spanish fluency and familiarity with Colorado social services landscape preferred. This attorney could work at any CLS office under (remote) supervision from the CSI Managing Attorney in the Denver office.

Attorney - Low Income Taxpayer Clinic Director – Any Office

Colorado Legal Services’ Low Income Taxpayer Clinic is seeking a Clinic Director who will provide direct services in tax controversy cases, conduct community outreach and education, and manage grant reporting. Ideal candidates will have strong writing and communication skills as well as the ability to handle a demanding caseload while building collaborative relationships with clients, staff, and the community. Experience in tax law is preferred but not required. The Clinic Director must be a licensed attorney (barred in any state). Salary ranges from $53,000 - $92,000 based on experience, with generous insurance benefits, paid vacation time and sick leave, and professional development opportunities.

Colorado Legal Services’ Survivor Services Unit is seeking a full-time grant paralegal to conduct interviews with potential human trafficking victims, assist case handlers on CLS human trafficking cases, conduct occasional trainings, participate in anti-trafficking coalitions and assist with administrative tasks associated with the grant.
